Private Event Hire

Set in the beautiful surrounding of Kearsney Abbey the Billiards Room is the only remaining part of the gothic manor which stood on the estate before being demolished in 1950 due to extensive dry rot. For many years The Billiards Room served as Kearsney Abbey's Tea Room  but as part of the lottery restoration a brand-new building was added to the existing structure to create Kearsney Café which opened in July 2021.

The Billiards Room’s beautiful wood panelled walls and vaulted ceiling the room adds a relaxing and beautiful setting for any event looking across the park to the lake. A perfect mixture of period features and modern facilities.

The Café and Billiards Room have full disabled access and Changing Places toilet.

The park offers free parking a short walk away and a dedicated disabled car park directly behind the Café and Billiards Room.

The Billiards Room is now available to hire for up to 40 people private events, weddings ceremonies, meetings, exhibitions and other events.

Hire fees for 2024

• Day Hire: 8:00 to 17:00 - £250
• Half Day Hire: 8:00 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 17:00 - £130.00
• Whole Day: £360.00
• Hourly Hire: £40.00 (minimum of 3 hours)
• Ceremony Only Hire*: £250.00
• Wedding Full Day Hire, 08:00 to 22:00: £360.00 (including ceremony hire*)

We are delighted to say that from January 2024 the Billiards room is licenced to host civil weddings.

*Full/Whole day hire is required for a wedding ceremony and all fees are in addition to the KCC registrars fees (payable directly to them).

All prices are for 2024 and are correct at time of publishing. We reserve the right to update them as required.

We are unable to offer hire on occasional dates due to the high use of the park and cafe. This includes the Easter weekend and school summer holidays and bank holidays. Please do contact for more details.

All food is prepared and made freshly on site by Kearsney Cafe.

No external food or drink should be brought in or consumed on site with the exception of a celebration cake.

• A choice of cakes or loaf cake

  • Flavours of loaf cakes may include the following - lemon drizzle, banana and toffee, ginger or orange and cranberry.
• Tea and coffee.

 Gold Package - £21 per person

• Selection of sandwiches.
• Selection of mini cakes.
  • Flavours of cakes may include the following - lemon and blueberry, Victoria sandwich, vanilla and raspberry, strawberry or coffee.
• Brownie, flapjack, blondie and crumble bar.
• Mini sausage rolls.
• Quiche
• Tea and coffee.

Afternoon Tea Package - £19 (served as a buffet or on stands)

• Selection of sandwiches.
• Fruit or plain scone with jam and clotted cream.
• A selection of mini cakes
• A selection of sweet bites
• Mini Sausage Roll
• Tea and coffee.

Working Lunch Buffet - £7.50

• Selection of sandwiches.
