General Update

The park has been very busy over the summer months with everyone having a staycation this year and using their local facilities.

The café is now open for eating in and take away.

A reminder that there is disabled parking only in the car park by the café and there has been a height restriction put on the main car park, maximum height is 2.1 metres.

The newly planted areas in Russell Gardens are establishing well; the grand border is flowering beautifully and the Lavender’s along the walled bed are just coming to the end of their flowering season. The Orchard has produced some fruits including apples, pears, and cherries.

The Lilies in the pond in Russell Gardens continue to grow and flower. The restored feature is attracting both dragon and damson flies, which have been spotted hovering above the water. Grey wagtails regularly visit and can be seen both in Russell Gardens and Kearsney along the water’s edge.
