General update
We're looking forward to the Farm and Forest Day in Kearsney Abbey on Wednesday (15 April).
The free fun-packed day for all the family runs from 10am-3pm, and includes the chance to see farm animals, watch birds of prey flying displays, enjoy a variety of eco crafts, and take part in a whole range of environmentally themed activities. There will be a free park and ride set up for the day, with parking at Crabble Athletic Ground, and a free shuttle bus service running between Dover Rugby Club and Kearsney Abbey. For more details, please see the Press Release on the DDC website.
An exciting new-look play area is also set to swing into action for Kearsney Abbey, with works set to start in the spring for the new area to be up and running for the summer holidays.
The play area works are due to start in May 2026 and to be completed by July 2026, subject to ground and weather conditions. The newly designed play space incorporates a stand-out multiplay unit, with a variety of features including slides, tunnels, fireman’s pole, climbing walls and net seating. The space is set to provide a range of equipment for children up to 14 years, with a particular focus on inclusive play equipment to cater for all abilities.
The cafe continues to be busy offering its popular homemade treats to eat in, as well as a range of items to take away.
