Plan your visit

Russell Gardens and Kearsney Abbey are open every day of the year, so whether you're looking for a tranquil spot for a summer picnic, or a stroll through the changing colours of autumn, there's always something different to see and do.

Dogs are welcome in both parks. Please keep dogs on their leads on the north side of Kearsney Abbey (the side where the cafe is), the old mill pond area and in Russell Gardens. Dogs can be let off their leads on the south side of Kearsney Abbey.

The barbeque area in Kearsney Abbey is currently closed off as part of the park restoration work. We're sorry for the inconvenience. We will re-open it as soon as we can.

While the work is taking place, there is limited parking available on site. Please think about using public transport, cycling or walking to the parks. If you do drive, please think about the nearby residents. Please park considerately, and do not block emergency access routes. Thank you.

Kearsney Abbey car park

The western car park in Kearsney Abbey will be closed on Wednesday 4th December from 8am - 1.30pm. The parking bays will be marked out during this time.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused during these essential works.
