Chalk grassland restoration

Kearsney Abbey
Thursday 19th March 2020 (10:00-15:00)

Coxhill Mount at Kearsney Abbey is the site of a round barrow dating back to the Bronze Age and was recently the location of an archaeological dig. We will be clearing vegetation that has grown on Coxhill Mount, hoping to encourage the return of the chalk grassland.

The task will be led by the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear for outdoor work.

We will be meeting at Kearsney Abbey car park (opposite Russell Gardens) at 10.00am. The address is Kearsney Abbey, Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, Dover, CT16 3EE. Please note that while works are taking place on site, parking is limited so please consider walking, cycling or using public transport instead.
