Watch the Model Boat Association’s yacht race!
The yachts may use most of the boating lake, depending on the wind direction. The races usually start around 10am and finish around midday, depending on the weather conditions.
The MBA sails controlled model boats, including electric and steam powered boats and yachts. Everyone is welcome but internal combustion engines of any kind are not allowed on the lake.
Parking
While work is taking place to restore and improve the facilities at Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens, there is limited parking available on site. Please think about using public transport, cycling or walking to the parks. If you do drive, please think about the nearby residents. Please park considerately, and do not block emergency access routes. Thank you.
