Learning outside in Kearsney Parks

Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens

This practical workshop in Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens will explore cross-curricular learning  outside for primary schools. The workshop will cover art, geography, maths, literacy and science.

The workshop will be led by former headteacher Andrew Lamb, who was Executive Headteacher of a large, outstanding primary school at the forefront of inclusive education for children with profound and complex needs within a mainstream primary school. He also has substantial experience in the advisory service in Primary Maths, ICT, Drama and Dance.

Andrew and Niall Leyden, an Outdoor Education Adviser for the Education People, have developed this workshop together. It will run from 12.30pm - 3.30pm and will take place whatever the weather, so please dress appropriately! You should also wear sturdy shoes for walking.
