Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens - From Prehistory to the Present Day

Location
Kearsney Abbey
Date(s)
Friday 23rd August 2019 (14:00-15:30)
Description

This walk will explore the industrial and social history of the parks and the work being done to restore them.

Paper and corn mills, theatrical performances and a Bronze Age Barrow - the park has seen them all!

We'll be meeting in front of the old billiard room (the former cafe) and taking a walk around both Kearsney Abbey and Russell Gardens.

The walk will also go up to Coxhill Mount. This is at the top of a very steep hill which can get muddy and slippery after wet weather.

This is part of the White Cliffs Walking Festival. If you'd like to come along, please book your place in advance
