About this activity

Radio Controlled Model Boats

Model boats are allowed on the lower lake at Kearsney Abbey. You must bring your own boat as the parks do not supply the model boats. It is open to members of the public, you do not need to be part of a club. It is a public park so when sailing your boats please be aware and respect the wildlife, the lake and members of the public at all times.

The club that is associated with Kearsney Parks is the Model Boat Association, Dover.

About the club

Members sail model boats, both powered and sailboats. Kearsney Abbey lake is their local water. Model boats are placed on the water and operated by remote control. At MBAD events the members will help to operate the boats safely and advise if necessary.
